World famous Parmigiano-Reggiano, prosciutto di Parma and aged balsamic vinegar are made in only one region of Italy, in Emilia-Romagna. Called “The Gastronomic Capital of Italy” by Italians, Bologna is famous for its delicious cucina and comfortable lifestyle.

Stroll along cobbled streets and see pasta freshly made, stores filled with wheels of cheese, olive oil and all kinds of salume. Our outdoor market continually entices with mounds of ripe fruits and fresh vegetables, all locally-grown - it doesn’t get any better than this. We Mangia Bene! We’ll immerse you in “la cultura e la cucina” by dining in local restaurants, traveling in our lovely countryside and cooking together making delicious Italian food.

  • Modena joins Bologna in having a gracious Historic Center with beautiful palazzos and charming porticoed streets filled with boutique shops and an intriguing fresh food market. We’ll see the masterpiece of Romanesque architecture Il Duomo, dedicated to San Geminiano, and its massive Gothic bell tower, long a symbol of this city. Modena’s most important monument, this cathedral is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Concluding our visit to Modena, we’ll enjoy an amazing food-and-wine luncheon at a famous two Michelin-star restaurant with the renowned chef.
